London is well-known for its gory past and murderous characters – think Jack the Ripper or the infamous Tower of London. So, if you’re looking for something ghoulish to do this Halloween, the capital has a ton of spine-tingling tours on offer …

Love ghoulies and ghosts, and all things that go bump in the night? Then a haunted Theatreland walking tour might be right up your street. Last weekend, we took a group of bloggers on the scary trip through London’s theatre district and it certainly wasn’t for the faint-hearted!

The tour group met at every hotel Piccadilly, only a stone’s throw away. Tour guide Diane Burstein then led the excited group through the cobbled back streets between Covent Garden and St. James’s. Along the way, bloggers got to hear some fascinating stories about the characters that haunt the Theatreland area.

The group listened to tales about a mysterious man in grey, a ghost of a clown that haunts the area, and an infamous phantom prompter. After two hours of spine-tingling ghost stories, everyone in the group was feeling spooked!

Next, the bloggers returned to every hotel Piccadilly where they were treated to scrumptious food and drinks in the hotel’s charming restaurant. Our group chatted away and shared photos from the day. From the smiles all around, it was clear the event was a big success. You can check out all the tweets and fantastic photos from the event, using the hashtag #getuptoeverything on Twitter.

Planning a trip to the capital? Why not stay at the every hotel Piccadilly. The bustling hotel is a short walk away from London’s top theatres and cultural gems.
